Budget potato casserole with saury

Belorussian classic transformed. Easy to make, interesting to serve. Suits every budget.
Ingredients
- 250 g sour cream
- 250 g mayonnaise
- 1 pinch of baking soda
- 6 tbsp flour
- 6 psc. medium sized potatoes, grated coarsely
- 1 onion, chopped finely
- 1 can (240 g.) canned saury (or any other canned fish)
- salt and pepper to taste
1) Preheat oven to 170 ˚ C.
2) Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, flour and baking soda, salt and pepper to taste, to obtain a homogeneous batter. The same density as a pancake batter. I did it in a food processor.
3) Transfer half of the batter in heat-resistant dish.
Place the grated potatoes on top, add salt and pepper to taste, top with onions and spread canned fish evenly.
4) Pour remaining batter on top and spread evenly over the surface.
Put casserole in the oven and bake for 40-50 minutes. Casserole should be well browned on the top.
