Prawns in a spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1 red chili pepper
- 4 garlic cloves
- 500 gr. prawns (fresh or frozen)
- 100 gr. any semi hard cheese, grated
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
1) If the prawns are frozen - then thaw them, if fresh, then blanch and peel, leaving a little tail at the end (the shell of prawns adds an extra "shrimp" flavor to the dish)
2) Preheat oven to 180 ˚ C.
3) Peel and chop the onion. Peel the garlic. Trim the top of chili peppers and remove seeds. Chop finely.
4) With tomato peeling. Remove seeds and cut into pieces and put together with garlic and pepper in blender. Grind until smooth.
5) Heat a medium frying pan with olive oil and fry the chopped onions until soft, add prawns and tomato sauce. Sweat all together for 2 minutes, add salt and pepper and drizzle with lemon juice, mix well and remove from heat.
6) Transfer prawns with the sauce in deep heat resistant pot or pan.
Top with the cheese generously and bake without lid in preheated oven for 20 minutes, until cheese browns lightly.
Serve hot!
