Potato and meat casserole

A dish of my childhood. Mom often made this casserole for dinner. Now I cook it for my family.
Precook potatoes before baking, it will make them more soft and prevents from drying out during baking. Add to this, if you precook in salted water, the salt is dispensed evenly.
Ingredients
- 400 grams lean pork
- 700 grams potatoes
- 2 medium onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 100 grams mayonnaise
- 100 grams grated cheese
- ½ bunch of dill
1) Peel and slice the potatoes and precook in salted water until soft, drain. Peel and chop the onion rings. Peel the garlic.
2) Preheat oven to 180˚C.
3) Cut meat in small pieces, spread on the bottom of the heat-resistant cookware in a single layer.
Season with salt and pepper, press a half of garlic and top with onions. Spread 1/3 of mayonnaise.
4) Distribute hot potatoes in one layer on top. Press the rest of the garlic and spread another 1/3 of the mayonnaise. Place the rest of the potatoes on the top and spread the remaining mayonnaise.
5) Put in the oven for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for another 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool a bit as it is.
Arrange on a plate and sprinkle generously with dill.
