Your beloved will not want to sleep after such a treat for sure!:-) Even after a hearty dinner. That’s what we need for St. Valentine's Day.
Chile has to be fresh. You cannot substitute it with powdered chili. Powdered chili would float on the surface and pinch too much.
The hardest thing in the preparation of this beverage is mixing the chocolate with coffee. You need to stir actively all the time till the mixture is well incorporated and smooth.
Ingredients
- 200 gram dark or milk chocolate
- 4 tsp ground coffee
- 300 ml of water
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 red chili pepper
1) Melt chocolate in a water bath. Stir well to avoid lumps.
2) Chop the chili finely. Place chili along with coffee and sugar in the coffee-making pot and add cold water. Bring to a boil over low heat.
3) Strain hot coffee through a fine strainer into a pot with chocolate. First, pour 1/3 in, mix well until smooth and then add the remaining coffee. Mix well again.
4) Pour a drink through a strainer to into warmed mugs * and serve immediately.
* To warm mugs or cups for hot drinks - rinse them first, in boiling water.
