Chocolate spread with nuts
You may want to call it homemade "Nutella". But the process of preparation and composition is very different.

This paste can be smeared on the bread, dolloped on pancakes or crepes and can be used instead of butter. You can also eat it with a spoon straight from a jar:-)

700 ml
  • 50 g mixed nuts
  • 200 g butter
  • 300 ml sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 ml dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp cacao

Cook time: 20 minutes

1) Heat oven to 160 ˚ C. Arrange nuts on a baking sheet in one layer. Roast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let cool on baking sheet.

2) Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Crush nuts in a blender or mortar and pestle.

3) In a large bowl, combine condensed milk, butter, cocoa, vanilla sugar, melted chocolate and crushed nuts. Stir the mass  until smooth.

4) Transfer the spread in sterilized jars. Close the jar. Store in refrigerator  for about a month.
