Baked pears with lavender and honey and vanilla ice cream
     Never tried lavender in desserts? Hurry up to try while it's still in bloom! And how rich it is! Fashion for lavender planting is already long outside the Provence. So You'll be able to find some around for sure! 

    If you still have not found a fresh, feel free to use dried.


Serves 2
  • 2 middle-sized ripe pears
  • 5 g fresh lavender (or 1 tbsp. dried)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 balls of vanilla ice-cream

Cook time: 50 minutes

Приготовим ингредиенты

1) Preheat oven to 170 ˚ C.

2) Mix honey with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Remove florets from the stems of lavender flowers, and mix the half of it with honey.

3) Peel the pears. Cut in half and cut out the core, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Arrange the halves of fruit in the heat-resistant dish cut side up. Evenly smear the
pears with the honey-lemon mixture.

4) Sprinkle  pears with the remaining lavender and place it into preheated oven for 30-40 minutes. Pears should be lightly browned and completely soft.

5) Remove the fruits from the oven, discard the lavender, it has already done its work.

6) Transfer the pears onto a serving plate add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on each,
sprinkle with extra caster sugar.
